Kohli Slams Multiple Records With His 53rd ODI Century
He reached his hundred in 90 balls and became the first batter in the world to have more than seven centuries against three or more teams
Virat Kohli is on a roll as he smashed his 53rd century in ODIs and broke several records with it. Playing for India against visitors South Africa in Raipur on December three, Kohli carried on from where he had left in Ranchi. The right-handed maestro looked in prime touch as he was able to get the runs without much of an effort.
After reaching his fifty in 46 balls, Kohli continued to play the second fiddle as long as Ruturaj Gaikwad was in the attacking mode and reached his hundred. However, once Gaikwad was out, Kohli took it upon himself to steer the Indian innings.
He reached his hundred in 90 balls and became the first batter in the world to have more than seven centuries against three or more teams in the ODI format. This was Kohli’s seventh century against South Africa.
