Cricket South Africa (CSA) have announced national contracts for its men's side for the 2023-24 season with Marco Jansen and Tristan Stubbs making the cut for the first time along with Bjorn Fortuin, Sisanda Magala and Ryan Rickelton. The total number of contracts dished out this time has gone up to 20 from 16 to accommodate wider a range of players for white-ball and red-ball cricket.

Heinrich Klaasen, and Wayne Parnell make the cut after being left out last time around, while Janneman Malan, who last played for the Proteas in an ODI against India in October last year does not feature in the list.

“We are really excited by the mix of experienced and younger players that have been contracted this season as we continue to build a world-class outfit under the leadership of red and white-ball head coaches Shukri Conrad and Rob Walter," Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki commented

Adding to it, Director of Cricket Enoch Nkwe said, “The number of contracted players has increased from 16 to 20 this season to ensure that we have a wider pool of white-ball specialists and Test players.
