NEWSAfter the Lord’s Test, there were concerns over the fitness of England pacer Mark Wood, who was captured on the camera with ice pack. While England skipper Joe Root did not have a clear update on his fitness, the ECB confirmed that the pacer would miss the Headingley Test with a jarred right shoulder. The pacer was injured on the fourth day of the Test, during his attempt to save a few runs for his side.
“England seamer Mark Wood has been ruled out of the LV= Insurance third Test against India with a jarred right shoulder,” confirmed ECB’s press release.
“He will remain with the squad in Leeds and will continue his rehab with the England medical team. The 31-year-old will be assessed at the end of this Test match,” it added.
