No Indians In The Hundred 2025 As Deepti Sharma Withdraws To Manage Workload
Deepti has been replaced in the London Spirit squad by young Australian all-rounder Charli Knott
There will be no Indian players (Men and Women) in the 2025 edition of The Hundred as London Spirit’s Deepti Sharma has withdrawn from the competition in order to manage her workload in what’s set to be a hectic year for her, with the 50-over World Cup coming up.
London Spirit won the Women’s Hundred last year, and it was Deepti who powered them to the title, averaging 212 with the bat and taking eight wickets with the ball in what was an extraordinary campaign. However, the all-rounder, who is currently with the Indian team in England, has now officially withdrawn from the tournament.
Deepti has been replaced in the London Spirit squad by young Australian all-rounder Charli Knott, who made three appearances for the Southern Brave side last season. At 22, Knott is already a pretty experienced player at the WBBL level, with 59 games under her belt for Brisbane Heat Women.
The Women’s Hundred 2025 is set to kick-off on August 5, with defending champions London Spirit taking on Oval Invincibles at Lord’s. The final will be played on August 31 at Lord’s.
