Nurul Hasan ruled out of Zimbabwe tour

The Bangladesh T20I skipper fractured his left index finger in the second T20I

Bangladesh's new T20I skipper Nurul Hasan will miss the remainder of the Zimbabwe tour after fracturing his left index finger in the second T20I, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Sunday (July 31).

The wicketkeeper injured his finger while keeping to fast bowler Hasan Mahmud. The board hasn't announced the captain for the third and final T20I but it's highly likely that Litton Das will act as the stand-in skipper.

"We did an X-ray which revealed a fracture to the index finger. Such injuries take about three weeks to recover from. He is therefore out of Tuesday's last T20 match and the upcoming ODI series," said Bangladesh physio Muzadded Alpha Sany.

Bangladesh lost the first T20I by 17 runs but managed to win the second encounter by 17 runs. The series-decider will be played on Tuesday (August 2), which will be followed by three ODIs.
