Pakistan include Hasan Ali, Kamran Ghulam for New Zealand Tests

They have left out Mohammad Ali and Faheem Ashraf, while Azhar Ali has already announced his retirement

Pakistan have included paceman Hasan Ali and uncapped middle-order batter Kamran Ghulam in their squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against New Zealand, starting on December 26 in Karachi.

Naseem Shah, who missed the last two Tests against England due to a shoulder injury, is also back but Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf are yet to recover from their respective injuries.

Afridi is yet to recover from his knee injury that he suffered during the T20 World Cup, while Rauf (grade-II strain in his right quad) too isn’t yet match-ready.

Ghulam, 27, was picked for the Bangladesh Test series last year but didn't feature in any game. The right-hander has 3268 runs in 44 first-class encounters at an average of 47.36, studded with 10 centuries and 18 fifties.

After being whitewashed in the three-match series against England, Pakistan have left out Mohammad Ali and Faheem Ashraf, while Azhar Ali has already announced his retirement.

Squad: Babar Azam (c), Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Agha Salman, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah, Nauman Ali, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Saud Shakeel, Shan Masood, Zahid Mehmood.
