Pakistan’s tour to Sri Lanka set to begin on July 16
Galle and Colombo are shortlisted as the two venues for the two-match Test series
Pakistan and Sri Lanka open their 2023-25 World Test Championship (WTC) campaign on July 16, with the first Tests at the Galle International Cricket Stadium between July 16-20. Pakistan are set to land in Sri Lanka on July 9 before two warm-up fixtures for the Men in Green on July 11 and July 12.
The second Test between the two teams will be played at the Singhalese Sports Club (SSC) in Colombo between July 24-28. While Sri Lanka are yet to announce their squad for the two-match series, Pakistan have earlier announced their squad, which saw the return of Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Uncapped players Mohammad Huraira and Aamir Jamal have also earned a maiden call-up to the setup, with Babar Azam still skippering the team with Mohammad Rizwan named the vice-captain.
