Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have followed the BCCI, postponing their marquee franchise league, the Pakistan Super League (PSL), indefinitely. Earlier in the day, the BCCI announced that IPL 2025 will be suspended for a week’s time before taking any final decision.
According to Cricbuzz’s reports, PCB were forced to postpone the tournament after they failed to come to terms with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) over hosting the remainder of PSL 2025 in UAE.
"The decision to postpone has been taken pursuant to advice received from the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif," the PCB said in a statement.
There’s no return date for the tournament, with it originally scheduled to conclude on May 18 (Sunday). As it stands, Quetta Gladiators are topping the PSL 2025 table, with 13 points from their nine games. Multan Sultans, meanwhile, are bottom of the table with just 1 win in 9 games and have already been eliminated.
