PSL 2025: Colin Munro And Mohammad Rizwan Fined After Nasty Altercation
Tempers flared when Munro signalled that Ifthikar Ahmed had ‘chucked’ the ball at him
Tempers flared on April 23 (Wednesday), when Islamabad United opener Colin Munro accused Multan Sultans' all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed of chucking. In the aftermath of that incident, both Munro and Multan Sultans’ skipper Mohammad Rizwan were fined 30% of their match fees.
The incident happened after Iftikhar bowled the third delivery of the 10th over. The off-spinner bowled a quicker one into the blockhole, and Munro gestured something on the lines of 'chucking' to Iftikhar after defending that delivery.

The spinner didn’t like it and said something to Munro before complaining to the on-field umpires. Multan captain Mohammad Rizwan also got involved and asked Munro to focus on his batting. The umpires eventually had to get involved to defuse the situation.
Both Munro and Rizwan were found guilty of Level 2 breaches of PSL’s Code of Conduct, with the clause pertaining to "personal abuse of a player, player support personnel, umpire or match referee".
However, the umpire did not report the all-rounder Ahmed’s action.
