If Virat Kohli is the most followed cricketer, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are one of the most followed teams in franchise cricket. In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, RCB will have another opportunity to win their maiden IPL title. There have also been talks regarding Kohli returning as RCB captain, but official confirmation is awaited.
RCB let go of Faf du Plessis in the IPL 2025 auction but managed to buy some exciting players, including the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Liam Livingstone, Phil Salt, Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya. They also got England’s Jacob Bethell, who will be one of the talents to watch out for in the IPL 2025.
Mohammed Siraj, Glenn Maxwell and Will Jacks are no longer part of the RCB set-up.
Last season, RCB won their last six league games to qualify for the playoffs but lost to Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator.
