Nitish Kumar Reddy played a superb innings against Australia on day three of the fourth Test in Melbourne to notch up his maiden century, which left even batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar too in awe.

Tendulkar, who has the most centuries in Tests, was impressed with the 21-year-old all-rounder's composure and temperament.
"A knock to remember by Nitish. He has impressed me right from the 1st Test and his composure and temperament have been on display right through. Today he took it a notch higher to play a crucial innings in this series," he wrote in a post on X.
Reddy put on 127 for the eighth wicket with Washington Sundar (50) to pull things back for India. They are still 116 runs behind Australia's first innings total of 474, but Reddy's knock has reduced the deficit by a huge margin.
Sundar, who supported Reddy well, believes India can still win if they manage to bundle Australia out for less than 150. “I still feel there’s something for the bowlers in this wicket. If we can bowl them out for 100-150, we can win this Test,” Washington said in the press conference.
India will resume day four of the Test at 358/9, with Reddy still unbeaten on 105. He will hope to add as many runs as possible for the final wicket along with Mohammed Siraj.
