Kashvee Gautam, N Shree Charani and Shuchi Upadhyay have all received maiden national call-ups to the Indian set-up for the ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka and South Africa, starting on April 27 in Colombo.
Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who missed the home series against Ireland earlier this year, is also back, and so are Sneh Rana, Arundhati Reddy, Yastika Bhatia and Amanjot Kaur. Meanwhile, Renuka Singh, Pooja Vastrakar and Titas Sadhu were ruled out because of respective injuries.
The likes of Minnu Mani, Sayali Satghare, Saima Thakor, Uma Chetry, Raghvi Bist, Tanuja Kanwar and Priya Mishra, who were all part of the Ireland series, have been left out of the squad.
Shafali Verma continues to stay out of the team despite having a superb Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025, where she smashed 304 runs at an average of 38 and a strike rate of 152.76. The dynamic opener hasn’t played for India since November 2024.
Talking about Kashvee, the 21-year-old seamer had a fantastic WPL 2025. Despite bowling the tough overs for Gujarat Giants, Kashvee finished with 11 wickets in nine games at an impressive economy rate of 6.45.

Left-arm spinner Charani, who is also a handy batter, played only two games for Delhi Capitals and claimed four wickets.
Meanwhile, another left-arm spinner, Upadhyay, was the third-highest wicket-taker in the 2024-25 Senior Women's One-Day Trophy. She took 18 wickets @ 15.4.
This tri-series will serve as a perfect preparation for the Women in Blue for this year's ODI World Cup in India.
