Shafali Verma receives maiden Test and ODI call-up; Shikha Pandey returns to fold

The All-India Senior Women's Selection Committee on Friday announced the Indian squad for the one-off Test match, ODI & T20 series against England as teenage sensation Shafali Verma has been called up to the squad after being ignored for the ODI series against South Africa. She has been named in both Test and ODI squad, to be led by Mithali Raj. 

On the other hand, the selection committee has decided to bring Shikha Pandey back in the squad after omitting her for the South Africa series. The Goa-born pacer, who has been India's most successful pacer in the last few years, has been named in all three squads for the tour that will run from June to July 15. Taniya Bhatia has also made a comeback to the squad after being left out for the South Africa series.

While Jharkhand wicketkeeper-batter Indrani Roy has earned her maiden international call-up, Sneh Rana, who last made an India appearance back in February 2016, has returned to the squad.
