After the public tickets for India’s tour of Australia 2025 matches in Canberra and Sydney were sold out in June itself, now the special fan zones made for Indian fans have also been sold out, 50 days in advance, according to Cricket Australia (CA).
The fan zone tickets for not only Canberra and Sydney, but all eight venues have been sold out completely. Apart from Canberra and Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, and Hobart will also be hosting the games on India’s tour of Australia.
With Fan Zone tickets being sold 50 days in advance of the start of the series, one can gauge the popularity of the Indian team in Australia. In many scenarios, Indian fans actually outnumber the home team fans in Australia.
Joel Morrison, Executive General Manager Events & Operations, Cricket Australia, was enthralled by the fan zone tickets being sold.
“We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to the Indian fan zones selling out across all eight venues. We are excited to see the momentum building around this series and the strong passion fans continue to display for the game,” he said in a statement by Cricket Australia.
“We’re looking forward to a vibrant atmosphere in the stands and a world-class contest on the field between two great cricketing nations,” added Morrison.
India will play their first match on the tour, an ODI, part of a three-match ODI series, at the Perth Stadium on October 19. Their last game, the fifth T20I of the five-match T20I series, will be played at The Gabba in Brisbane.
