GROUND DETAILS

The whole tournament has been played on the same ground. In the first eight matches, apart from the one where Jamaica Tallawahs clubbed 255 runs, it has been a mixed bag of scores in the first innings. There has been one score of 120, one in 130’s, two in 140’s, three in 150’s, two in 160’s and one in 175. On an average 161 runs have been scored in the first innings and an average of 147 runs has been chased as target.

This season, there has been a lot of spin on offer, which has made things difficult for batsmen to score against them. Hence, the economy is on the lower side. However, the spinners (23.8) have a very poor strike rate as compared to the pacers (17.2). Even with the share of wickets, pacers (68.7%) have been much better than the spinners (31.3%).

SUGGESTED CAPTAIN

The left-handed middle order batsman, Sherfane Rutherford has been in the form of his life. In four innings this season, Rutherford has scored 175 runs with three 50+ scores to his name. Out of which, two of them have come in back-to-back innings. He has scored those runs at an average of 87.5 and a strike rate of 145.8. His 175 runs are the most by a batsman in this season.

Our Criclytics player projection predicts, Rutherford could score 35-33 runs against BR

X-FACTOR

Another Patriots batsman who is having a good run this season is Evin Lewis. In the four innings he has batted, Lewis has scored 137 runs with one 50+ score at an average of 34.3 and a strike rate of 134.3. He is presently the fourth highest run scorer this season and is a must-have player in the fantasy team

Our Criclytics player projection predicts, Lewis could score 29-43 runs against BR

The whole and soul performer with the bat for Royals has been Glenn Phillips. Apart from the last innings, Phillips has been consistently scoring runs this season. Not only this season since 2019, Phillips has scored 806 runs which is the second best among all in this time.

Our Criclytics player projection predicts, Phillips could score 24-36 runs against SKNP

The toughest challenge for the Patriots opener in their match against the Royals will be facing Mohammed Amir in the powerplay. This season. Amir has bagged six wickets and five of those have come in the powerplay. Only Migael Cummins has bagged more than him in this phase this season. His ability to bag early wickets is what makes him one of our X-factors

Our Criclytics player projection predicts, Amir could pick up 1-2 wickets against SKNP
