Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Gujarat Titans, IPL 2022, Match 21: Fantasy Preview

Here are a few tips that might help you create your fantasy team for Match 21 of the IPL 2022 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans

It promises to be a cracking Monday evening as the Gujarat Titans lock horns with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in an evening encounter on 11th April, at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

While the Titans have been unbeaten in the tournament thus far, the Orange Army will enter this game on the back of a comprehensive eight-wicket win against Chennai Super Kings in the southern derby a couple of days ago.

With the stakes rocketing sky-high in this exciting clash, here are some of the fantasy tips you can use to make your team.

SUGGESTED TEAM

While you could go for the above team, you also have the option of choosing your team from Cricket.com’s Fantasy Research Centre. You can use this tool to build your team with the help of algorithms. Then, based on your preferences, the platform will guide you through creating the ideal fantasy XI.

GROUND DETAILS

In the 12 innings played thus far, the average first innings total at the ground is 166 runs, and the average winning score in the first innings is 181. Punjab Kings chased 206 runs in their opening match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at this venue.

While the teams have opted to chase down targets in the IPL, Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals have successfully managed to defend their totals at this venue after posting over 165 runs.

As far as the bowling is concerned, 65.2 percent of the wickets have been scalped by pacers, with 3.8 wickets every innings. While the spinner have not been effective, given the dew factor, they have conceded at an economy rate of 7.2 compared to 8.9 by the fast bowlers.

SUGGESTED CAPTAIN

Shubman Gill

After a dismal outing in the first game against the Super Giants, Shubman Gill has been in scintillating form and smashed two half-centuries to help the Titans register hard-fought wins.

The right-handed batter scored 84 off 46 deliveries at a strike rate of 182.61 against the Delhi Capitals and followed it up with a sublime 96 off 59 balls in the last game against the Punjab Kings.

The 22-year old is second in the list of leading run-scorers in this tournament with 180 runs in three matches and will be one of the key players for the Titans in their battle against the Sunrisers.

Our Criclytics player projector predicts Gill to score runs 45-67 in this match.

X-FACTORS

Mohammad Shami

Mohammad Shami endured a dream start to this edition of the tournament as he scalped the wicket of the first delivery to dismiss KL Rahul in their opening match.

The right-arm pacer has been one of the standout players for the Titans in the powerplay and scalped three wickets at an economy rate of 6.4 runs per over.

Along with Lockie Ferguson, Shami has restricted the flow of runs and not allowed the opposition batters to get off to a flying start in the field restrictions.

Our Criclytics player projector predicts Shami to pick 2-3 wickets in this match.

Rahul Tripathi

One of the most exciting players in the shortest format, Rahul Tripathi, has been in destructive form in the tournament. After being picked by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for 8.5 crores in the mega auction, the right-handed batter has scored at a strike rate of 172.9.

In the last game against Chennai, Tripathi smashed an unbeaten 39 off 15 deliveries studded with five boundaries and two sixes to help the team register a comprehensive eight-wicket win.

Our Criclytics player projector predicts Tripathi to score 28-42 runs in this match.

Rashid Khan

One of the leading bowlers for the Sunrisers Hyderabad since his debut in 2017, Rashid Khan, will don the Titans jersey this season.

The leg-spinner has been one of the most lethal bowlers in this format and will hold the key for the Titans in the middle overs. He has scalped five wickets in three innings and conceded at an economy rate of 6.6 runs per over.

Rashid is one of the main reasons for the Titans to successfully stem the flow of runs in the middle overs and has proved to be a trump card for Hardik Pandya and the team management with his consistent line and length.

Our Criclytics player projector predicts Rashid to pick up 1-2 wickets in this match.
