Suresh Raina, who has represented India in 322 matches across formats, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, bringing to an end a 20-year-long career.Ā
Raina retired from international cricket in 2019 on the same day as MS Dhoni on August 15, 2020, but continued to play domestic cricket, representing Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League and Uttar Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. But now, 8 months after going unsold in the 2022 IPL auction, the veteran batter has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.
The 35-year-old took to Twitter to announce the same.

Raina last played professional cricket back in October 2021, representing the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. The southpaw had a dull season, averaging a mere 17.77, and was eventually dropped towards the back end of the season, replaced in the side by Robin Uthappa. The 35-year-old is now expected to represent Indian Legends in the forthcoming edition of the Road Safety World Series.
