There were question marks over Suryakumar Yadav’s form ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, but India’s T20I captain and Mumbai Indians (MI)’s batter has shut down his critics by amassing more than 600 runs in the ongoing league.
This is the second time SKY has scored more than 600 runs in an IPL season. In the 2023 season, the right-hander hit 605 runs in 16 innings at an average of 43.21 and a strike rate of 181.1.
SKY, however, has already crossed that tally, making this his best IPL season in terms of runs - 640 runs in 14 innings at an average of 71.11 and a strike rate of 168.

The right-handed batter has been super consistent in the ongoing season, having managed 14 25-plus scores on the bounce. SKY has broken Temba Bavuma’s record, who had 13 consecutive 25-plus scores in the 20-over format.
