Suryakumar Yadav ruled out of IPL 2022 due to muscle injury
Suryakumar played 8 matches this season for the Mumbai Indians scoring 303 runs at an average of 43.29, including 3 half-centuries
In what has come as a big setback to Mumbai Indians' already-faltering campaign, the team's star batter Suryakumar Yadav has been ruled out of the IPL 2022 owing to a left forearm muscle injury. The middle-order batter had sustained the injury during the team’s fixture against Gujarat Titans on 6th May 2022 and now he will be treated according to the NCA provision so as to ensure his return to the Indian team fold ahead of the South Africa series next month.
Suryakumar played 8 matches this season for the Mumbai Indians scoring 303 runs at an average of 43.29, including 3 half-centuries. He was one of the consistent performers for the side in a year not a lot of things have gone their way.
Yadav had also missed the IPL opener due to his recovery from a hairline fracture he sustained during the home series against West Indies in February. He then moved to the NCA for rehabilitation for over three weeks in the lead-up to the IPL and returned after missing a game in the IPL.
