Travis Head Opens Up On ‘Fight’ With Maxwell And Stoinis During PBKS Clash

Head first got into a heated argument with Maxwell, and then exchanged words with Stoinis as well

On April 12 (Saturday) in Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) returned to winning ways by completing one of the greatest chases in IPL history, chasing 246 with 9 balls to spare. The game was all about the knock from Abhishek Sharma, who hammered a record-breaking 141 off just 55 balls.

Travis Head hit a fifty too, yet Head was in the headlines not for his knock but the tussle he had with Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis during the chase. Following the completion of the ninth over of the second innings, bowled by Maxwell, Head got into a heated argument with his Australia teammate, as both players had a go at each other. Stoinis then stepped in and Head said a few words to the all-rounder as well.

Is all well between the Aussie superstars? Head opened up about the incident after the game.

“It’s always good fun when you get to play against your teammates,” Head told the host broadcaster.

“They probably bring the best and worst out of you when you know each other so well and have played against each other so many times. A bit of friendly banter between us, but it’s all good. I’ve got to put up with them back home, so nothing untoward,” he added.
