Shubman Gill, the Gujarat Titans captain, announced that Washington Sundar will be making his debut for the side. The off-spinning all-rounder, who was picked at the IPL 2025 mega auction for INR 3.2 Cr, did not feature in the first three games for the Gujarat side.
Sundar was handed his maiden cap for the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 6 (Sunday) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
SRH also made one change to their playing 11 from their last game, bringing veteran Jaydev Unadkat into the mix, in place of Harshal Patel. Unadkat was bought at INR 1 Cr by the SRH in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Sundar, who has played 149 T20s, has had a horrid time with a bowl in hand in his last 10 outings in the IPL.
