The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League is going from bad to worse for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. After losing five out of their seven league matches, the Orange Army are languishing in the ninth position in the points table.Â
Ahead of their away fixture against Delhi Capitals in the evening on Saturday, April 29, Sunrisers suffered a severe blow as Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the tournament.Â

The all-rounder suffered a hamstring injury and will miss the remainder of the tournament, stated the official Twitter handle of the franchise.Â
The 23-year-old endured a dismal campaign with the ball and was wicketless in the five games before scalped three wickets in an over in the last league game against Delhi Capitals. With the bat, the southpaw has scored 60 runs in five innings at an average of 15 and a strike rate of 100.
While Brian Lara and the team management backed him to come good as a great all-arounder for the side in the second half of the competition, the latest injury is a significant setback for the youngster in his short-start career.Â
The Tamil Nadu-born player was roped in by the team in the mega auction last year for INR 8.75 Crore but has failed to live up to all the hype and expectations in the two seasons.Â
