Follow UsMarizanne Kapp bent the ball like a banana with her outswing against Gujarat Giants in their Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 match against Delhi Capitals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on February 25 (Tuesday).
In the second over of her spell, Kapp not only bowled a maiden over but got two wickets: Harleen Deol and Phoebe Litchfield. While Harleen was promoted to the top of the order, Litchfield replaced Laura Wolvaardt in the Gujarat playing 11.
Kapp, who is one of the masters of outswing in the women’s game, got a nick off Harleen that carried to Sarah Bryce behind the stumps, and she made no mistakes. Litchfield, on the other hand, was trapped in front of the wicket.
Gujarat had a seven-day break between their last match and this and have won only one of their first three matches. Delhi have won two and lost two and would be looking to make it three and get to the top of the points table.
