Why Does Virat Kohli Not Want Swastik Chikara As His Roommate?

The RCB star, however, would love to have Jitesh Sharma as his roommate

In a promotional event on May 2 (Friday), India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)’s star batter Virat Kohli jokingly said he would never want to have Swastik Chikara as his roommate, but wants to get to know Jitesh Sharma more.

Chikara, who is yet to play a game for RCB in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, is a big fan of Kohli and considers him his elder brother.

Kohli was recently asked, “Which RCB cricketer would he prefer and not prefer to have as a roommate while travelling?”

To which, the star batter replied: "I wouldn't say it's Swastik Chikara. Because he doesn't leave me alone, so, definitely not him.

"But one guy I think is really funny, but he's not opened up with me properly, is Jitesh (Sharma). I would want to see that really fun, raw side of him because I can see it in his eyes, he's got that mischief about him.

“He's very street smart, you can see on the field, he finds different ways of looking at things. So, I would like to get to know him more.”

Both Kohli and RCB are having a phenomenal time in the IPL 2025. The right-handed batter is currently the third-highest run-scorer in the tournament, while RCB have won seven of their 10 games and are a couple more wins away from qualifying for the playoffs.
