India are without their skipper Harmanpreet Kaur for the first T20I of the five-match series against England women, on June 28 (Saturday). In Kaur’s absence, Smriti Mandhana walked out for the toss, as India were inserted into batting first at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
Why are India without Harmanpreet? India’s regular all-format skipper has been rested for the first T20I in Nottingham as a precautionary measure following a head injury during the warm-up clash against the ECB Development Women’s XI.
