Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya revealed that Mitchell Santner has been ruled out of Match 45 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 27 (Sunday) due to a finger injury.
The spin-bowling all-rounder from New Zealand sustained the injury in MI’s previous game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 23.
Santner has been a key member for MI in the IPL 2025. The left-arm spinner has picked up four wickets in nine games at an economy rate of 8.28 despite mainly bowling in non-favourable conditions.
MI have replaced Santner with leg-spinner Karn Sharma, while also bringing in fast-bowling all-rounder from South Africa, Corbin Bosch. Vignesh Puthur is also out of the XI.
