Why Was Virat Kohli Practising With Gujarat Titans’ Assistant Coach In England?
Kohli posted a picture on his Instagram stories with Naeem Amin, the Assistant coach of Gujarat Titans
Virat Kohli has been in England ever since the final of the Indian Premier League 2025, and for the first time since then, he has posted a picture that shows that he is getting back to his cricket finally.
Kohli, who has already retired from T20 and Test cricket, plays only the IPL and ODI cricket now and would be aiming to be fit and ready for the 2027 ODI World Cup.
In the picture he posted, he is seen with Naeem Amin, the Assistant coach of Gujarat Titans, who also runs an academy called Mighty Willow in Berkshire of London. “Thanks for helping out with the hit brother. Always lovely to see you," Kohli wrote on Instagram.
India hasn’t played any ODI since the conclusion of the ICC Champions Trophy, which was won by them, and as a result, Kohli has been out of action. Amidst all this, a few reports have come out that say that Kohli or Rohit Sharma won’t be automatic selections for the ODI side. They both would have to prove form and fitness if they wish to remain in the team.
In that light, it's great news for Kohli fans that one of India’s greatest ODI batters has begun practice yet again and would be aiming to get himself ready for the three ODI series against Australia, starting October 19.
