WPL 2026 Retentions: Final List, Retention Prices And Major Releases Revealed

As preparations begin for the 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) mega auction that will be held in the last week of November, all five franchises have confirmed their lists of retained and released players. 

Among the most notable exclusions are South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt, Australia’s Meg Lanning, Alyssa Healy, New Zealand all-rounder Melie Kerr and Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma as teams prepare for the upcoming mega auction. 

The 2026 retention window saw several bold calls, notably the exits of Wolvaardt, Deepti, Sophie Devine, and Lanning, opening up significant space in team budgets. UP Warriorz will enter the auction with the largest purse, while Gujarat Giants and RCB look best placed to rebuild their overseas contingents.
