Yograj Singh has attracted some serious trouble yet again after his sexist and misogynistic remarks in an interview with Samdish Bhatia for his YouTube channel ‘Unfiltered with Samdish’.
The Punjab State Commission for Women’s chief has taken serious note of his problematic comments and said on X (formerly Twitter) that the panel has taken cognisance of the remarks and has already started inquiring into them.
Yograj, the father of Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, is known for his ‘unfiltered’ views on personalities like MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev. However, he is receiving serious flak after he made some quite problematic remarks about women in the interview with Samdish Bhatia.

“If women are given power, they will destroy everything,” Yograj said in the interview.
“Indira Gandhi ran this country. She ruined the nation. Sorry to say this. You ask any woman to run a household and she will ruin it. Never give power to women. Give them love, respect, and honour. But if you give them power, they will destroy everything. I've seen it. If you give women power, they will hold everything for themselves,” Singh remarked.
His clips from the interview in which he says the above have already gone viral on social media platforms, and he is receiving a lot of flak for his views on women, amongst other things, in the interview. He also made some troubling remarks about Yuvraj’s cancer and his suffering during the 2011 ODI World Cup that India won, with Yuvraj being the Player of the Tournament.
“For our country, even if Yuvraj Singh had died from cancer and had won India the World Cup, I would have been a proud father. I still am very proud of him,” Yograj said in the interview.

He also said that if given a chance, he would shoot Kapil Dev in the head for the injustices the former Indian skipper committed against Yograj.
