Having won four of their first six games, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are off to a phenomenal start in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The Rajat Patidar-led side have won all of their four away matches. Their two defats have come at their home ground, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
RCB have never won the IPL despite being in the league since its inception in 2008.
However, they have played some fantastic cricket this season and many fans believe this could very well be their year.
So, Ee Sala Cup Namde? Why not, considering RCB star player Virat Kohli has already lifted two major ICC titles since the last IPL.
Kohli was part of the Indian squads that won the 2024 T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies and the 2025 Champions Trophy in Dubai.
However, speaking to RCB's Mr. Nags, Kohli jokingly said: “With us, it’s never safe. You can believe, but it’s never safe.”
There’s one more coincidence: this is the 18th edition of the IPL, which is also Kohli’s jersey number.
When Mr. Nags told Kohli how the RCB fans have started manifesting a title win this season, the star batter responded: “Were you not feeling it till now? It took 18 years to feel it. What about 17, 16, 19?”
“I think it’s a good reason to be in a good space and be positive.”
Kohli himself has been in great form in the IPL 2025, having smashed 248 runs in six innings at an average of 62 and a strike rate of 143.35.
