Deepti Sharma promoted to Grade A in BCCI central contract

After impressive performances in the international circuit for the past couple of years, Deepti Sharma has been promoted to Grade A of the annual BCCI contract list for the 2022-2023 season. 

The off-spinner joins Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana as the third player in the Grade A category replacing Poonam Yadav, who was part of this list but now finds her out of the contract altogether. 

The leg spinner, along with Shikha Pandey, Taniya Bhatia and Arundhati Reddy have been excluded from the list along with retired duo Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami. 

Renuka Singh Thakur, who was the standout performer for the Indian side has been awarded a Grade B contract along with Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and Rajeshwari Gayakwad. 

The last category also witnesses a couple of first-time entrants, with Radha Yadav and Yastika Bhatia, along with Anjali Sarvani, earning their maiden contracts.

Grade B (INR 30 lakh): Renuka Singh Thakur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Richa Ghosh, Rajeshwari Gayakwad

Grade C (INR 10 lakh): Meghna Singh, Devika Vaidya, Sabbineni Meghana, Anjali Sarvani, Pooja Vastrakar, Sneh Rana, Radha Yadav, Harleen Deol, Yastika Bhatia
