On the back of his unbeaten ton against Pakistan in Dubai in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Virat Kohli has moved back into the top five of batters’ rankings in ODIs. Kohli struck an unbeaten 100 against arch-rivals Pakistan to help India seal semi-final qualification, and the performance has helped him leapfrog Daryl Mitchell and break into the top five once more.
Kohli (743) is now just six points away from fourth-placed Heinrich Klaasen (749) and 14 points shy of third-placed Rohit Sharma (757).
Kohli returning to the top five makes it three Indians in the top five, with Rohit and Shubman Gill being the other two. Gill is still the top-ranked ODI batter in the world and has a 47-point lead over second-placed Babar Azam.
Among batters, two others who have made a significant jump are Ben Duckett (27 spots jump to 17th) and Will Young (eight places jump to 14th spot). Rachin Ravindra, who hit a ton against Bangladesh, has also jumped 18 spots to move to number 24 in the rankings.
Meanwhile, in the bowlers’ ODI rankings, Kuldeep Yadav (third) is the only Indian in the top 10. Keshav Maharaj has jumped one spot to fourth while Matt Henry has jumped two spots to sixth.
When it comes to all-rounders, there is no change in the top 10, but New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell has made a huge jump, moving as many as 26 spots to clinch 11th spot in the rankings.
