India are playing Washington Sundar and Dhruv Jurel in place of injured Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh in the second T20I against England in Chennai on January 25 (Saturday).
Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav once again won the toss and decided to bowl first at Chepauk. Mohammed Shami once again misses out.
Reddy sustained a side strain injury during a training session before the second T20I and has been ruled out of the entire series. Meanwhile, Rinku suffered a low back spasm while fielding in the first T20I and has been ruled out for at least two matches.
Shivam Dube and Ramandeep Singh have been brought in as their replacements but they will be available from the third T20I.
England had already announced their team on January 24 (Friday). The visitors replaced Gus Atkinson with Brydon Carse. Jacob Bethell hasn’t recovered from his illness, so Jamie Smith makes his T20I debut.
England were absolutely hammered in the first T20I, losing the game by seven wickets. Their batters struggled against Varun Chakaravarthy and Co. and were bowled out for 132. India chased down the target with more than seven overs to spare.

Suryakumar Yadav - "We'll look to bowl first. Looks a good track, there was a little bit of dew yesterday, hoping the wicket will be better in the evening. It looks good, it looks hard, hope it stays the same. We want to stick to the basics and have the same approach we had in the last game in all the departments. Really looking forward to the game. (Fielding) That's one thing which brings everyone together, brings a lot of energy and positivity."
Jos Buttler - "We would have bowled first as well. Same plans, just got to do better. Each game is an opportunity, the guys are relaxed and looking forward to tonight. In all areas, we always try to improve. Same gameplans, just do better. Assess conditions quickly, try and communicate. Looks a little bit different than sometimes here.
