After being dropped from the Indian setup, 35-year-old Cheteshwar Pujara has returned to the grind, having been included in the West Zone setup for the upcoming Duleep Trophy. Suryakumar Yadav, who was also part of the Indian setup earlier in the series against Australia, has found himself a place in the setup.
However, the right-handed Mumbaikar is expected to return to West Indies ahead of the three-match ODI series. While not announced, the right-hander is expected to be part of the Indian setup for the full-fledged T20I series. On the other hand, both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who are included in the West Zone squad, are likely to miss the encounter.
Priyank Panchal remains the skipper of the squad, with Prithvi Shaw as his opening partner. Duleep Trophy is set to start on June 28, with the final scheduled to start on July 12. India, on the other hand, will start their two-match Test series on July 12.
