Australia’s dynamic batter Mitchell Marsh has been super consistent for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The right-hander has smashed 265 runs across five innings at an average of 53 and a strike rate of 180.3.
Marsh has four 50-plus scores this season but is missing the game against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Lucknow on April 12 (Saturday) due to his daughter being unwell, confirmed LSG captain Rishabh Pant at the toss.
"His daughter is unwell, and Marsh is taking care of her," said Pant.
LSG have replaced him with Delhi’s Himmat Singh, who is making his IPL debut. The right-handed batter has scored 917 runs in 47 T20 innings at an average of 28.65 and a strike rate of 132.51.
Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first against GT, with the Titans bringing in Washington Sundar in place of Kulwant Khejroliya.
LSG have won three of their five encounters, while GT have won four of their five and currently at the top of the IPL 2025 points table.
