From Deepti To Lanning: Top 5 Most Expensive Buys At WPL 2026 Auction
Shikha Pandey, fetching INR 2.4 Cr, was also a massive bid given that she is not a regular in the Indian side.
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction saw a lot of see-saws as Alyssa Healy, the first to come for a bid, went unsold. Deepti Sharma, who was supposed to be the biggest buy, was bought by the Delhi Capitals in a lone bid for INR 50 Lakh only.
However, the UP Warriorz used their Right To Match (RTM) card and the Capitals were asked for a final price, and they quoted INR 3.2 Cr, which was the joint-second highest price ever in the history of the league. The Warriorz matched it, and thus history was created.
Apart from that, Shikha Pandey, fetching INR 2.4 Cr, was also a massive bid given that she is not a regular in the Indian side. Amelia Kerr was the highest-paid overseas player, with the Mumbai Indians paying INR 3.0 Cr to make her the third-most expensive overseas player in the league’s history.
Here are the top five most-expensive players in the WPL 2026 auction and their prices.
