Shubman Gill -  244 points in 3 games

The Gujarat skipper started the season off slowly, but he’s picked up his form big time, and is currently one of the hottest Fantasy point banks in the tournament. He’s accumulated 244 points across the last three games, scoring over 95 points against both Rajasthan and Punjab. The 24-year-old was a Fantasy Player’s dream last season due to just how many runs he accumulated. He’s slowly turning into a points machine this season too.

Sunil Narine - 230 points in 2 games

This is not a drill. Narine has indeed accumulated 230 points across Kolkata’s last two matches. And if you include the Bangalore match too, that’s 326 points in three games. Before the season began, there was apprehension amongst Fantasy Players to pick Narine because of his waning wicket-taking ability with the ball, but he’s turned a page with the bat and has transformed into the beast that he was six years ago. So far, Narine can’t stop scoring runs. And Fantasy points.

Jasprit Bumrah - 223 points in 2 games

This is why Jasprit Bumrah is a joke. We’re in the midst of a record-breaking Indian T20 League season in terms of run scoring, but Bumrah finds himself in the top three for Fantasy Points scored in the past week. He’s played on two absolute batting paradises and has averaged 111.5 points per game, with the Bengaluru clash on April 11 (Thursday) yielding him 157 points. To use a small CM Punk reference, Bumrah is the best in the world — in Tests, in T20s, in ODIs and even in Fantasy Cricket.

Sanju Samson - 206 points in 2 games

In his Indian T20 League career, Samson has never scored more runs in the first five games of the season than he has so far in 2024 (246). No wonder he’s dominating the Fantasy Points charts too. He’s picked up 109 and 97 points in Rajasthan’s last two games. He’s not just been accumulating points with the bat, but also behind the stumps. You know who to pick in your XI when Rajasthan play next.

Tristan Stubbs - 204 points in 2 games

Probably the most surprising candidate on this list. Stubbs is not someone you’d expect to rack up Fantasy Points because he bats so low down the order, but Delhi’s misfiring batting unit has given the South African a chance to bat long. And he’s grabbed the chance with both hands, posting scores of 71* & 54. Will Stubbs continue to rack up points like some of the other players on this list? Probably not. But if you’re thinking of taking a punt on him, now is the time. He’s hitting the ball sweetly and his confidence is at an all-time high.

Ishan Kishan - 192 points in 2 games

The second wicketkeeper in this list is Ishan Kishan. Again, like his best buddy Gill, he had a rough start to the season but he turned it around against Delhi, and is now looking unstoppable. Kishan batted only 34 balls against Bengaluru but still accumulated 120 points. Again, that’s the bonus of being a wicketkeeper. He grabbed two catches as well. With Mumbai’s next clash also being played at the Wankhede, it’d be a bit naive at this point not to have Kishan in your Fantasy XI.

Virat Kohli - 180 points in 2 games

180 points in two games despite accumulating just 15 points in one of the games. That’s Virat Kohli for you. He is just such a bank. When he gets his eye in, he will ensure to make it count and maximize the points tally. The crazy part is that he’ll keep having these 90+ point games often. This season alone, he’s accumulated more than 100 Fantasy points in a game on three separate occasions. Kohli is the ultimate Fantasy point-bank.

Yash Thakur - 173 points in 1 game

One match played in the past week. 173 points accumulated. This competition and this sport is too easy for Yash Thakur. Could you imagine the fate of those who captained Yash in the contest against Gujarat? He barged in, picked a five-wicket haul out of nowhere and bowled his side to victory. But be wary of getting deceived on this basis of one performance. In his first two games of this season, the seamer accumulated 29 and -2 points.

Shashank Singh - 169 points in 2 games

Shashank Singh has gone from ‘unknown’ to ‘undeniable’ to ‘inevitable’ in the space of a couple of weeks. After a monster showing against Gujarat - that many claimed would be hard to repeat - he produced another scintillating performance against Hyderabad. A 93-point game followed up with a 76-point performance. Remember, he bowls too. He hasn’t bowled this season yet, but could you imagine if he starts bowling as well? He’s going to be topping the Fantasy charts in no time.

Jos Buttler - 169 points in 2 games

After a torrid stretch, Jos Buttler is finally back to where he belongs. We’ve been used to seeing Buttler top these Fantasy charts so much that it was weird to see him being one of the worst players in the first couple of weeks of the competition. But he’s barged his way back into the Top Ten on the back of his 151-point showing against Bengaluru. But again, he isn’t a point bank yet. Till Buttler finds consistency, picking him in your Fantasy XI would be somewhat of a gamble. Who would have ever thought that this would turn out to be the case?
